Death . . . The Experience of a Lifetime
The Vashon Conversation for the Living about Dying project is offering a full-day workshop: Death, the Experience of a Lifetime – Preparation for Death and Care of the Dying. Guest presenter is Bodhi Be, Executive Director of Doorway into Light, a nonprofit organization on Maui engaged in advocacy and educational programs on death and dying. Bodhi is a teacher and ordained minister in the Sufi lineage. He is an independent funeral director, hospice volunteer, end-of-life and bereavement counselor, coffin maker, death doula educator and founder of The Death Store. Target audience includes those who: are dying • care for the dying • may die one day • may care for a dying person • wish to learn how to care for someone who has died • and those who work in these fields. In other words, everyone! Full Day Workshop on Saturday, August 11, 9:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., $70.00 Registration includes morning refreshments and lunch.
